Gracie and I were married 30 years ago today.

While that in itself is a significant milestone, Gracie and I have packed quite a few “extras” into our three decades.

It seems fitting to introduce this song from my new CD, SONG FOR THE CAREGIVER, on this date.

I set out to write a song that captured the heart of a caregiver, and enlisted my friend artist/songwriter, Buddy Mondlock to help me, and longtime college-friend, Chris Latham, helped me produce the CD. It should be noted that Chris was in chapel at Belmont University the day they announced that his fellow classmate, Gracie, had that awful car accident back in 1983. Chris had tears fill his eyes on more than one occasion as we recorded this project. Can’t wait for you to hear the whole CD!

Gracie lent her extraordinary voice to this song.

It is often said that the best gifts are the ones you make yourself.
Happy 30th Anniversary, Gracie!

We’re releasing this CD later this month, but are giving a sneak preview for the Standing With Hope community.  I wanted to create a project that will comfort, strengthen, and minister to caregivers …a CD you can play all day long to soothe frazzled nerves, weary minds, and heartbroken caregivers.

As we seek to continue the work of this ministry, we intend to provide every donor to Standing With Hope this month a copy of this CD when it is released in a few weeks, but we hope that you enjoy this exclusive gift today!.

Enjoy!

We have an immediate need of $2,950 for a large pallet of prosthetic supplies (600+ pounds) for Ghana.
Standing With Hope has two program areas:

  • A prosthetic limb ministry to amputees in West Africa
  • CAREGIVERS WITH HOPE: A radio show for family caregivers.

Both of these programs have the single goal of equipping broken and hurting individuals to stand with hope in Jesus Christ.
