"In seasons of severe trial, the Christian has nothing on earth that he can
trust to and is therefore compelled to cast himself on his God alone. When
his vessel is on its beam-end and no human deliverance can avail, he must
simply and entirely trust himself to the providence and care of God. Happy
storm that wrecks a man on such a rock as this! Oh blessed hurricane that
drives a soul to God and God alone."
Charles Spurgeon "Prince of Preachers" |

Peter and Gracie Rosenberger know the pain of loss and shattered dreams. Gracie's devastating car accident that led to more than six-dozen surgeries and the amputation of both of her legs has deeply affected their lives in profound ways, and both Gracie and Peter have faced hard realities within themselves and their family as they have forged as relationship and raised their two sons, Parker and Grayson. As they address life’s heartaches and disappointments honestly and directly, but full of hope, audiences feel encouraged and understood …and begin to believe survival is possible, as they see that God is working in all things with mercy, love, and purpose. Performing publicly since children, their formal studies as music majors helped shape the powerful musical combination that brings audiences to their feet across the country. In addition to performing at the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York, Gracie has also performed for President George W. Bush, as well as dozens of US Senators and governors. In a state known for music, Gracie was the only singer, and first ever individual with a disability, invited to perform at the 2003 inauguration of Tennessee’s Governor. But the couple counts as one of their most moving invitations the request by the commander of Walter Reed Army Medical Center for Gracie to perform at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new amputee-training center for military personnel experiencing limb-loss. Gracie and Peter clearly understand the need for quality prosthetics, and that understanding led them to found Standing With Hope, an evangelical, non-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of amputees in developing countries. Recognizing the lifetime commitment of caring for an amputee, their focus is on training local workers in targeted countries and building an infrastructure to maintain services and treat large numbers of amputees on an ongoing basis. As listeners embrace Gracie's and Peter's contagious humor, and are drawn into their story of faith and perseverance …they find laughter mixing with their tears, and the pressure building in their hearts begins to find a release. With grace and compassion, Peter and Gracie clearly communicate a peace that transcends the painful circumstances so many are facing in this fallen world. …An unforgettable couple. …A glimpse of God’s great compassion and lovingkindness. …Two lives equipping others to stand with hope. |
